The annual Monroe Township Recreation Department Fishing Derby will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Aug. 9 at Thompson Park, Perrineville Road, Monroe.
Monroe children and their parents/guardians are invited to attend.

There is no fee. Fishers must bring their own pole. Hooks, bobbers and worms will be supplied.
Prizes will be awarded in various divisions.
Refreshments will be provided by the Recreation Department.
