Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will premiere its original movie J.L. Family Ranch on Sunday, Aug. 21 at 9 p.m. Two incomparable award-winning legendary actors Jon Voight and James Caan star, along with Melanie Griffith, Grant Bowler, Teri Polo, Steven Bauer, Abby Brammell and Trevor Donovan. The film follows veteran rancher and former sheriff John Landsburg (Voight), who is forced to face the federal bureaucracy when an old enemy, Tap Peterson (Caan), seeking revenge over a decade-old grudge falsifies documents and alleges Landsburg doesn’t actually own his beloved family ranch. John however isn’t the type to go down without a fight.
My Last Days, an inspirational three-night special event docu-series created and hosted by Justin Baldoni, star of Jane the Virgin, premieres Wednesday, Aug. 17 at 9 p.m. on The CW. This documentary features the compelling stories of six real-life heroes, who remind us that having a limited amount of time doesn’t mean we can’t make a positive impact on the world. These are courageous individuals facing one of life’s most difficult challenges, a terminal illness. Justin Baldoni added, “My Last Days is an inspirational look at what happens when we detach from the material things of the world and live fully in the moment. “I am proud to share these stories that remind people that each and every one of us has the power to choose happiness and to make a difference, regardless of the hand we’ve been dealt.”
Food Network will air the tournament premiere of Camp Cutthroat 2: Alton’s Revenge on Wednesday, Aug. 24 at 10 p.m. Alton Brown has retreated deeper into the woods to plot his revenge with the most devious sabotages yet. Sixteen new chefs have been chosen to cook in these backwoods, with the opportunity to win up to $75,000. In the premiere episode, three chefs will compete in the initial heat.
