U.S. Air Force Airman Imalei A. Chipoco graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Chipoco is the daughter of Yvette Maisonet-Chipoco of Brooklyn, New York, and Jose Chipoco of Columbus, New Jersey. She is also the niece of Sara Corchado of New Hyde Park, New York, Erica Chipoco of Edison, and Luisa Maisonet of Youngstown, Ohio.
Chipoco graduated in 2015 from James Madison High School, Brooklyn, New York.
