Unidentified victim suffers fatal injuries in car fire in Spotswood

SPOTSWOOD – A Spotswood man has died after sustaining major burns in a car fire.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office was called to assist a car fire on Brunswick Avenue in Spotswood where one occupant was injured on Aug. 8.

The victim was taken by Medevac helicopter to The Burn Center at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, according to a statement prepared by Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Chief Michael Zarro of the Spotswood Police Department.

The 42-year-old, who is not being identified, according to Andrea Boulton of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, died later that evening as a result of his injuries.
