The annual Arthur S. Rooke Memorial Snapper Contest sponsored by the Keyport Harbor Commission will be held from 10 a.m.-noon at the Keyport Waterfront on Saturday, Aug. 20. The rain date is Aug. 21.
Registration for this free event begins at 9 a.m. All registrants will receive a gift bag and complementary bait. There will be prizes for the largest fish caught by children in three different age groups and drawings for additional fun prizes.
Hot dogs and soda will be provided free of charge by American Legion Post 23.
