Employers wanted for Middlesex County Job Fair

Middlesex County’s Office of Workforce Development will hold the Middlesex County Job Fair, scheduled for 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Oct. 4, at the Woodbridge Community Center, 600 Main St., Woodbridge.

Between 600 and 1,000 job seekers are expected to attend the event, while 100 employers can be accommodated. Businesses must register by Sept. 9 and will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. To request a registration form, please call 732-745-3970 or email Melinda.Walton@dol.nj.gov. There is no cost for employers to participate.

The New Jersey Department of Labor will oversee an area with information on all of its services and programs.

Employers who have contract and/1099 positions, or commission-only jobs are not permitted to participate. All jobs offered should be full time, hourly or salaried. Retailers with part-time positions are allowed to participate, providing that jobs are permanent.

Employers will be admitted to the event at 9 a.m. to set up. Employers should bring an ample supply of job applications, company marketing materials, signs and/or banners.

Six-foot tables will be available for use during the event. If access to an electrical outlet is required, please indicate this on the registration form.
