Awareness walk slated in Edison Sept. 17

The 10th Annual Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation’s Walk and Family Fun Day for Hydrocephalus Awareness will be held from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sept. 17 at Yelencsics Park, 2963 Woodbridge Ave., Edison. Registration/check-in is at 10 a.m.

The event will feature face painting, former WWE Superstar The Patriot, live DJ entertainment, a mobile truck video game theater, a special appearance by Rizzo’s Reptiles and more.

The Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation, an all-volunteer non-profit 501(c) (3) charitable organization, educates the community by raising the level of awareness about hydrocephalus and provides support to families, friends, and children affected by this brain condition.

The PHF also raises money for and works with the medical community in searching
for a cure and additional treatment options for those with hydrocephalus.
Additionally, the PHF advocates on behalf of the members of the hydrocephalus
community and works with policy makers at the state and federal levels to raise
awareness and push for more research and support in the fight against
hydrocephalus. All donations are tax-deductible. The event is free to register and attend. Donations are greatly appreciated. To register, please visit www.active.com/donate/phfwalknj2016.
