LINCROFT — Community members age 18 and up are invited to broaden their horizons this year with a short-term, study-abroad course offered by Brookdale Community College.

The six-week courses, offered between May and August 2017, blend traditional classroom learning with one- to two-week guided excursions across the globe.

This year students are invited to swim, snorkel and study environmental science in Bermuda; explore local attractions and tour the Tuscan countryside while studying art or public speaking in Italy; or immerse themselves in “the city of light” while studying creative writing or world literature in Paris.

Students who complete a study-abroad course earn college credit that is transferrable to other colleges and four-year universities. Residents who apply for an excursion by Nov. 23 are eligible for an early-bird discount. The final application deadline for all courses is Feb. 2.

Brookdale will host free information sessions for each trip throughout October and November. For more information, visit www.brookdalecc.edu/study-abroad or call the Brookdale International Education Center at 732-224-2799.
