SOUTH BRUNSWICK — Students at South Brunswick High School (SBHS) are beginning the school year with a new assistant principal.

“I am fortunate to have spent 16 years in education as an English teacher and almost half of those years have been spent as Dean of Students at SBHS,” Yoshi M. Donato said in a welcome letter to parents and students. “My experience as both a classroom teacher and Dean of Students has certainly prepared me for the collaboration that I look forward to continuing with parents, staff and students.”

“While the senior year of high school is filled with excitement and adventure, it is also a sentimental time that marks the final year of so many things that have been in place since elementary school,” Donato said.

“As your assistant principal, I eagerly look forward to sharing in those senior class activities and moments that will help shape senior memories. Needless to say, the highlight of this year is to see all of the hard work and perseverance pay off for each and every one of you at graduation in June. This is an amazing time for all of you and I look forward to working with you to make this year a successful one,” Donato said.

The district theme for the 2016-17 school year is “Attitude Determines Altitude — Fly High.”

“I hope that your enthusiasm to do well, to study hard and to constantly exhibit respect, honest, responsibility, service and kindness is evident throughout the year,” Donato said.
