• The Allentown Library, 16 S. Main St., Allentown, will host Live Life in Color, a coloring program for adults, on the following dates: 2 p.m. Oct. 4 (Nordic designs), Nov. 1 (tessellations; optical illusions and 3-D) and Dec. 6 (inspirational quotes); and at 1 p.m. Oct. 19 (flowers) and Nov. 16 (stained glass). • The Ladies of St. Joseph, Millstone Township, will sponsor a bus trip to Lancaster, Pa., for Sight & Sound Theatres’ presentation of “Samson” on Dec. 6. Bus departs from St. Joseph Church at 9 a.m. and returns at approximately 8:30 p.m. There will be a traditional Pennsylvania Dutch smorgasbord lunch at Shady Maple and shopping time after lunch. • The United Presbyterian Church of Millstone will host a yard sale and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 15 (rain or shine). Vendors are being sought; cost is $15 per space. Early vendors get under cover in pavilion. Deadline for tables is Oct. 9. Details: 609-448-7181.
• An artisan festival and barn salvage sale will be held at the Oakley farmstead, corner of Wemrock Road and Oakley Drive, Freehold Township, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 2. Salvage items from local barns will be available for purchase (barn wood, wide plank flooring, porch posts, mantles, windows, shutters, etc.). Artisan craft vendors, food trucks and more. • A multi-family community yard sale will be held at Jensen’s Deep Run community center, 20 Longview Trail, Cream Ridge (Plumsted Township) on Sept. 24 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (rain or shine). All are welcome to attend. The entrance to Jensen’s Deep Run is on Route 537, a short distance east of the Route 537 and Route 539 intersection. Proceed to stop sign; community center is on the right.
• Archives and History Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, Manalapan. • An identity theft symposium will be offered to the public from 6:15-8:30 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, Manalapan. There is no cost to attend. Presenters from Microsoft and the Division of Consumer Affairs will teach attendees how to troubleshoot and protect identity, and privacy and personal data from being stolen online. • The Millstone Elks will host their first Antique and Classic Car Show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Millstone Township Middle School, 5 Dawson Ct., Millstone Township. • The Monmouth County Genealogy Society will present its fall workshop, “An In-Depth Look at Federal Census Records,” on Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Community Center, 72 Broad St., Eatontown. Four presenters will focus on that topic. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $15 for society members ($20 at the door) and $20 for non-members.
