The John P. Stevens Hawks Marching Band will hold its 29th annual Marching Band Festival beginning at noon on Oct. 9. The Festival will be held at McGowan Stadium, located on the new turf field behind the high school at 855 Grove Ave., Edison.
Seven marching bands from around Central New Jersey will be performing their shows to vie for trophies including best overall band, best music, best effect and many others.
This year’s John P. Stevens Hawks Marching Band is comprised of 175 members. The title of the show is “Beyond The Rainbow” featuring an array of music from “The Wizard of OZ.” Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and students.
