The Sayreville Athletic Association (SAA) will sponsor its first Chili Cook-Off noon-3 p.m. Oct. 16 at Buddies Tavern and Banquet Hall, 277 Johnson Lane, Parlin section of Sayreville.
Contestants are sought. There will be an opportunity to win cash prizes. Participation fee is $20.

The event will feature the contest, chili sampling, entertainment, a cash bar and door prizes. Admission is $10 for individuals who do not want to cook but would like to sample the chili and take part in the event.
