Red Bank Guinness Oyster Festival slated

The seventh annual Red Bank Guinness Oyster Festival will be held from noon-7 p.m. on Sept. 25 at the White Street Parking Lot. The rain date is Oct. 2.

It will feature food, music and a wine and beer celebration, which will showcase Red Bank’s restaurants,  and entertainment with continuous live music on two stages. Family friendly activities for children will also be featured. Eleven-year-old Brianna Marie kicks off the event with the Star Spangled Banner and headlining at the event are the 1910 Fruit Gum Company, The Nerds, Bobby Byrne Band, The Snakes, So Watt Band, JoBonanno and the Godsons of Soul, Taylor Tote Band, Atlantic Watch Pipes and Drums, Irish Dancers from the D’Arcy School and more.

The event is also a culinary feast with Guinness and fresh Oysters plus 20 of Red Bank’s favorite restaurants will be serving a variety of specialty seafood and Irish menu items. Wine and lighter beers will also be available for purchase. The Guinness Oyster Festival is a fundraiser for Booker Cancer Center at Riverview Medical Center, Monmouth Day Care Center and the Red Bank RiverCenter. Admission is $5 for anyone over age 10.
