The South Brunswick Adult Community School and Voice Coaches will present “Getting Paid to Talk,” a single-evening introduction to the world of voice acting.

From 6:30-9 p.m. on Oct. 6, attendees will learn the basics of voice overs, working in the studio, effective demo production methods, where to look for opportunities and how to land a job. They will also record a mock commercial under the direction of a vocal producer.

“Voice acting work can be found in almost every community in America, as most work is of the narrative variety,” said Warren Garling of Voice Coaches.

Voice Coaches has been invited to teach this class at South Brunswick two to three times a year since 2007.

“We employ professional voice actors to present this two-and-a-half-hour introduction to Voice Acting class throughout North America through universities, colleges, schools and recreation programs,” Garling said.

The class will be held at South Brunswick High School, 750 Ridge Rd., Monmouth Junction. The cost is $35. Enrollment is limited. Register by calling 732-297-7800, ext. 3148.
