The South Brunswick Township School Board election is on Nov. 8, and I am so proud to endorse my good friend and selfless and dedicated community leader, Anil Patel, for the Board of Education (BOE) seat.

Born in India and raised in the U.S., he has a successful career as a senior telecommunications engineer and worked as a lead project manager for Ericsson for more than 25 years.

Anil has been a resident of South Brunswick for more than 15 years, and both of his children, ages 27 and 23, went through the South Brunswick school system.

Anil has been involved with community and civic activities for more than three decades. His lifelong contributions and dedication to the betterment of community throughout New Jersey is exemplary. Anil has held various leadership positions of president, chairman and executive committee member in various organizations that include the Indian Cultural Society of New Jersey for eight years and various community and civic organizations for more than 30 years. He dedicated his valuable time by sacrificing his personal and family life even in the evening and weekend hours.

Anil served as a member of Community Development and the Recreation Committee in Union Township and currently serves as a member of the Human Relations Commission of South Brunswick.

Due to Anil’s strong professional achievements, social involvement and community service at various levels, he will be a good candidate to run for the school board. Anil will provide his leadership skills during the current fiscal and academic challenges in the 21st century, such as balancing the needs of children and hard-working taxpayers. He is committed to enhancing and promoting intellectual challenges, social and emotional growth of our kids and promoting a safe and secure learning environment and academic excellence.

Due to his three decades of selfless dedication and tireless service, I would like to request all voters in South Brunswick to vote for Anil Patel in the upcoming school board election, so he can continue to provide his experience and service to the community.
