The 39th annual East Brunswick Road Races — featuring the running of the Kids Dash, the 1-Mile Fun Run, a 5K race and a 10K race — will take place Oct. 9 at the East Brunswick Community Arts Center, 721 Cranbury Road. The event, which is sponsored by the township of East Brunswick and the Raritan Valley Road Runners, will take place rain or shine.
Day-of-event registration will begin at 8 a.m. Kids Dashes are set for 9 a.m. The 1-Mile Fun Run will begin at 9:30 a.m. The 5K and 10K races will go off at 10 a.m. Pumpkins will go to all Kids Dash participants. Trophies will be awarded in the 5K and 10K races. T-shirts will be given to all runners who register in advance. The East Brunswick Youth Council will be on hand to conduct free face painting. There will be refreshments and music.
All events are open to any individual who is medically able and properly trained, regardless of age, ability or physical/mental disability.
