Middlesex County Office of Culture and Heritage lecture slated

The Middlesex County Office of Culture and Heritage announce a lecture on the Asian Indian experience in America, “Indians in America: Lost Legacies and Contemporary Complexities”, is scheduled for 2 p.m. Oct. 22, at Middlesex County College, Room 100-102 of the College Center, 2600 Woodbridge Ave., Edison.

This free lecture, presented by Khyati Joshi, will focus on the history of communities of Asian Indians in New Jersey and the United States and on the different experiences of immigrant and second generation members of these communities.

Joshi is a Professor of Education at Fairleigh Dickinson University, the recipient of the 2014 FDU Distinguished Faculty Award for Research and Scholarship, as well as the author and co-editor of many publications.
