Care to Walk event to benefit cancer institute

Care to Walk for Breast and Ovarian Cancer will hold its 18th annual walk/run on Oct. 23 at North Brunswick Township High School, 98 Raider Rd., North Brunswick.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. The walk starts at 9:15 a.m.

Registration is $20 for adults and $15 for children, which includes a t-shirt, breakfast, lunch, giveaways, prizes, Haagen Dazs ice cream and more.

Proceeds will benefit the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.

This year’s walk is dedicated to Diane Coopersmith, the mother of board member Mindy Angstreich, as well as Peggy Sica and Carolyn Hales.
