New Destiny senior pastor completes certification training

NORTH BRUNSWICK – Bishop Calvin G. Enlow, senior pastor of New Destiny Family Worship Center in North Brunswick, has successfully completed the John C. Maxwell Certification Program.

Enlow is now an independent certified John C. Maxwell coach, teacher, trainer and speaker.  He has already certified members within his church congregation and has been teaching all over New Jersey and abroad.

Enlow’s initiatives include YouthMax, a youth leadership event designed to give today’s young people practical tools and ideas to help them navigate life; diversity training to build a unified team of leaders with diverse abilities; and professional and development training including the 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, Becoming a Person of Influence and 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth, according to information provided by New Destiny.

Enlow is an anointed preacher, mentor, counselor and bible teacher, having ministered across North America, the Caribbean and even Asia. He served as the chairman of the conference on Evangelism into The Black Community for 10 years. He currently serves as president of the International Union of Pastors and Volunteer Chaplains, a position he has held for five years. During his ministry at New Destiny, he has fathered 10 churches throughout New Jersey.

Within the North Brunswick community, Enlow has served on the township’s Ethics, Senior Citizen Housing and Ministerial Alliance Boards, as well as the Martin L. King, Jr. Day committee. He works closely with the school system, police department and the mayor’s office through the Building Bridges partnership.  He organized and facilitated a middle school-aged summer school mentorship program and the “Street II” after-school mentorship program, Operation Backpack as well as a community Sept. 11th service.

He has also taught parenting seminars to parents of middle school children, stressing the importance of education. In addition he, along with his church, hosted various community-based police related seminars such as “Building Bridges in the North Brunswick Community” and “The Law & You”.

Currently, he serves as chaplain of the North Brunswick Police Departement. Annually, his church sponsors a community prayer breakfast which police and the entire community are invited to attend.
