The Metuchen Recreation Commission will sponsor a family pumpkin carving event on Oct. 22 beginning at 2:30 p.m. at the Metuchen Senior Center. Pumpkins, carving tools and snacks will be supplied.
Pre-registration is necessary. PreSchool of Rock will perform at the pond during the float. Carved pumkins will be floated on Tommy’s Pond beginning at 7 p.m. On Oct. 30, the Recreation Commission along with the Metuchen Chamber of Commerce will present the annual Halloween Parade and Trick or Treat.
All costumed youngsters are invited to “trick or treat” around the Metuchen High School Track, Grove Avenue. Families and/or Commercial vendors interested in sponsoring a trick or treat table, need to pre-register with the Metuchen Chamber of Commerce. Festivities will be held from 2-3:15 p.m.
