Nov. 4:
Healthy Heart event providing free education about chronic heart conditions, medication management and blood pressure screenings and heart testing from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Sayreville Borough Hall, 167 Main St., Sayreville. High blood pressure and irregular heart rate is associated with stroke, heart failure, heart attack and other life-threatening conditions.

Nov. 8:
The Human Motion Institute at Raritan Bay Medical Center is sponsoring a free “We Keep You Moving” Total Joint Replacement Education session from 8-9 a.m. Nov. 8 in the Patient Education Center on the first floor, Medical and Surgical Pavilion, 2 Hospital Plaza, Old Bridge. The session is intended for patients who have been told they need joint replacement or for those who would like to learn more about joint replacement. Registration is required. Nov. 9:
De-stress to Feel Your Best This Holiday Season seminar will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Patient Education Center, Medical and Surgical Pavilion, 2 Hospital Plaza, Old Bridge. Learn simple and effective relaxation techniques from Integrative Health professionals to stay calm and healthy from Thanksgiving through the New Year. The class is free.  Registration is required. Nov. 10:
Annual Hospital Community Meeting hosted by President Michael R. D’Agnes will take place at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Joslin Diabetes Center, 2 Hospital Plaza, Old Bridge. The Institute of Weight Loss at Raritan Bay Medical Center is sponsoring the seminar “Is Weight Loss Surgery Right for Me?” from 7-8 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Medical Arts Building, Suite 404, 3 Hospital Plaza, Old Bridge. The informative event will focus on weight loss surgery including discussion on Roux-En-Y gastric bypass, adjustable gastric banding, and gastric sleeve and concerns surrounding weight loss surgery as well as its successes. Bariatric Weight Loss Support Group Meeting will be from 6-7 p.m. Nov. 23 at Auxiliary Hall B, One Hospital Plaza, Old Bridge. The meeting is for individuals who have had surgery or are contemplating weight loss surgery or are trying to maintain a healthy weight. Family and friends are welcome. Registration is required. Angioscreen Vascular Screening event will be from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Joslin Diabetes Center, Affiliate at Raritan Bay, Suite 420, 2 Hospital Plaza, Old Bridge. Angioscreen is a 15-minute, noninvasive vascular screening that provides you with information about your circulation and risk for heart disease and stroke. What you learn may save your life. Immediately following the screening, you will be provided with a full color report of your results, educational material and a consultation with a registered nurse.
