With prize money up for grabs and the opportunity to tune-up for November’s Turkey Derby, a large field of cars is expected. Also on the Oct. 29 Halloween-themed card will be the O’Shea’s Auto Repair Factory Stocks in Twin 30 laps races, the Snap-on Sportsman cars in a 40-lapper and the Green Flag Driving Experience Legend Cars in a 30-lap main event.

Also featured during the festivities will be a “Haunted Carnival” in the grandstand midway area. Included in the grandstand admission price, fans will have the opportunity to play a variety of carnival games as much as they like in order to collect tickets to win prizes such as stuffed animals, candy, toys and more. Fans are also welcome to wear their Halloween costumes to the track to add to the fun.

Once the Oct. 29 event is in the books, all attention will turn toward the 43rd running of the “Turkey Derby” on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend during the daylight hours. An auto racing swap meet is then scheduled for Dec. 10.

The 2017 calendar year will then kick off with the annual “Awards Dinner” to honor 2016 competitors Jan. 15. The season-opening practice session for 2017 has been set for April 15.
