SOUTH BRUNSWICK – Lisa Rodgers has withdrawn from the race for the South Brunswick Board of Education, leaving four candidates to compete for three, three-year terms on Nov. 8.

“It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing that I am withdrawing my name as candidate for South Brunswick School Board for personal reasons,” she said. “To all of you who have helped me in this effort, I so appreciate your support but I know this is the right thing for me and my family at this time. My husband, children and extended family and friends are in support of this decision. I truly thank you all for your help and I know I have your support and understanding.”

Rodgers encouraged residents to support who they feel are the three most qualified candidates on Election Day.

Incumbents Azra Baig and Harry Delgado and newcomers Anilkumar Patel and Laszlo Nyitrai, Jr. will remain on the ballot.
