MANALAPAN – Members of the public and all veterans are invited to attend a Veterans Day ceremony that will be held at the Manalapan municipal complex, Route 522, at 11 a.m. Nov. 11.

The ceremony will mark the re-dedication of the township’s veterans memorial, which has been moved from the corner of Route 522 and Taylors Mills Road to a newly created memorial area in front of the municipal building.

The ceremony is presented by the Manalapan Veterans Affairs Committee, according to a press release.

Stephen McEnery, a member of the Veterans Affairs Committee, said that within the past year, committee members decided to move the memorial off the corner and give it a more prominent position in front of town hall.

McEnery said Applebee’s is donating a Veterans Day brunch; bagels are being donated by Union Hill Bagel; six new flagpoles (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, MIA flag and KIA flag) were donated by Home Depot with manpower and concrete to set the poles; the service flags were donated by Kempton Flags of Wall Township; a landscape design was donated by T&M Associates; landscaping was donated by Pantano’s; and electrical work was donated by Corbin Electric.
