The South River Public Library at 55 Appleby Ave. will soon be offering a collection of specialty cake pans that can be borrowed with a valid library card. The library is currently seeking donations of specialty cake pans for children’s birthday cakes, holidays and other occasions. Cake pans can be dropped off during library hours. The library will also hold a “No-Bake Desserts” event at 7 p.m. on Nov. 17. Learn how to create dessert without using the oven. Recipes, samples and hands-on dessert prep will be offered.
