Architecture, trivia among Old Bridge Library programs

The Old Bridge Library will offer two special programs for residents on Nov. 13.

At 1:30 p.m., lifelong New Jersey resident and author David Veasey will present “Colonial Architecture in New Jersey” about the state’s varied colonial architecture based on his book, “New Jersey’s Colonial Architecture Told in 100 Buildings.” An opportunity for book purchase and signing will follow the presentation.

Then, at 2:30 p.m., a “White Sharks are Great!” program will be presented by Dean W. Fessler of the Shark Research Institute. Fessler will explain why the much maligned white shark is not a man-eating monster and will share his own experience interacting and conducting research on great white sharks around the world.

On Nov. 17 at 7 p.m., the library will host Adult Trivia Night based on pub trivia and TV game shows. Space is limited, so participants must sign up as a team with a maximum of six people, or be placed on a wildcard team. Refreshments will be served and prizes will be awarded. Registration can be done at www.oldbridgelibrary.org or by calling 732-721-5600, ext. 5033.

The library’s Meet the Artist lecture series will continue at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 18 with a presentation on Andy Warhol.

The library is located at 1 Old Bridge Plaza at the corner of Route 516 and Cottrell Road in the Municipal Center.
