HOWELL – The Howell Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects in several incidents of theft/credit card fraud that have occurred at various stores in Howell.
Police said that on Oct. 9, a black man entered Staples in Friendship Plaza, Route 9. The man was subsequently observed on surveillance footage entering the store’s employee lounge and removing credit cards from an employee’s wallet.
The credit cards were later used at a Target department store in the township, according to police.
Police said that on Oct. 9, individuals entered Famous Footwear in Howell Commons, Route 9. Police said the individuals entered the employee lounge and removed credit cards from a wallet.
The credit cards were subsequently used at a Target store in Brick Township, according to police.
Police said that on Oct. 11, a theft/fraud victim reported that her credit cards were removed from her wallet in the employee lounge of a store in the Freehold Raceway Mall, Freehold Township.
The credit cards were used later at the Target store in Howell, according to police.
Police believe all of the incidents involve the same suspects, who are described as a black female, possibly in her early 20’s, and a black male, possibly in his 50’s.
The man is seen wearing a bucket-style hat during every crime, according to police.
