Adopt A Family Program delivers holiday cheer in Ocean

The Community Hope Fund and the Township of Ocean Department of Human Services are looking for volunteers to “Adopt a Family” this holiday season. Each year the people of Ocean help to brighten the holidays for families in need. Through the Adopt a Family Program, individuals, families, groups and businesses are matched with a local family in need to provide gifts, food and holiday cheer. Donors can choose to meet the family they assist, or they can choose to remain anonymous. Families of all sizes with children of all ages are hoping for some holiday joy in this time of economic struggle.

For those who cannot provide gifts for an entire family, there are still ways to help. Financial contributions for the program are needed (checks payable to Community Hope Fund). Donations of gift cards to local grocery and retail stores are also needed. Donations can be dropped off at the Township of Ocean Department of Human Services, 601 Deal Rd. For more information and to volunteer, please call 732-531- 2600 or email Jennifer Appio at jappio@oceantwp.org.
