Madison- Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares, the philanthropic arm of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y., recently raised approximately $100,000 at its first ever Cares Cup event at the Meadowlands Racetrack. Proceeds from the event will be distributed by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares to charities assisting local communities.
More than 600 guests attended the Cares Cup, which featured casino games, a silent auction, a raffle, hors d’oeuvres and beverages.
“I want to thank everyone who contributed to the overwhelming success of this fundraiser and made the Cares Cup a fun evening,” said Hal Maxwell, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y. “It is an honor to be able to assist numerous organizations that provide valuable services to our friends and neighbors in local communities.”
The premier sponsors of the Cares Cup were NRT Title Agency, Coldwell Banker Home Loans and The Falcon Financial Group. Numerous individuals and businesses donated an array of prizes for the silent auction and raffle, and a large team of volunteers ran the event. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Chairperson Jane Trust-Ryan was instrumental in organizing the Cares Cup.
Proceeds from the Cares Cup will be distributed by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares to the following nonprofit organizations: Cabaret for Life, the Center for Hope and Safety, Dance for the Cure, Friends of the Child Advocacy Center in Union County, N.J., Friends for Vets, Habitat for Humanity, Mahwah Marine Moms and North Jersey Military Moms, Move for Hunger, the 200 Club of Union County and United Hospice of Rockland.
