MONROE — Blaise Dipierro will serve the one-year expired term for the Ward 2 seat on the Monroe Township Council.

Dipierro recorded 4,575 votes in the election on Nov. 8 over Republican challenger Martin Herrmann, who received 3,745 votes.

Dipierro was appointed in January to fill the position vacated by Gerald Tamburro when he became mayor.
