Do you think you have soccer skills? Do you want to help out those in need for the holiday season? Middletown Township Recreation Department wants you to try your luck at its annual Turkey Soccer Shootout and food drive.
The event will be held on Saturday Nov. 19, from 10 to 11 a.m. Players ages six and up are encouraged to come out to Nut Swamp Turf Field for this event.
A soccer goal will be set up with targets. Whoever scores the most points for his/her age group wins a large frozen turkey just in time for Thanksgiving. Three winners will be awarded per age group.
Registration is only $5 per person plus a non-perishable food item, which will be given to the Middletown Social Services and distributed to residents in need.
