With the goal of organizing and collaborating to better serve Monmouth and Ocean County’s food insecure families, the Patrick Parker Realty team has selected the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties as the beneficiary of this year’s holiday giving initiative.

Today, Patrick Parker Realty announces their invitation to the community to take part in their annual holiday giving initiative. This year Patrick Parker Realty offices will be collecting canned food and dry nonperishable items at their Bradley Beach and Ocean Township locations to benefit the  FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.  With the objective of organizing and collaborating to better serve Monmouth and Ocean County’s food insecure families, the Patrick Parker Realty team has selected the FoodBank as the beneficiary of this year’s holiday giving initiative to address the crucial need at this time of year for more food donations with the onset of winter’s higher household costs, the approaching holidays and higher grocery store prices.

“Every year, we seek to raise awareness for worthwhile organizations that make a difference in our community,” says Patrick Parker, Broker and Owner at Patrick Parker Realty. “This year, I couldn’t be more pleased that we’ll be helping the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.”

“The FoodBank’s mission is to ensure that Hunger Won’t Win Here,” says Carlos Rodriguez, Executive Director of the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. “The FoodBank has 300 feeding programs in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Our partners include pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and group homes, and our goal is always to ensure that all families have access to enough nutritious food for an active and healthy life.”

Collection is going on now at Patrick Parker Realty headquarters at 523 Main Street in Bradley Beach, as well as their new office location in Ocean Township at 2000 Bellmore Street, just south of the West Park Jug Handle next to Towne Center Shopping Plaza.

“Patrick Parker continues to demonstrate the art of giving back to the community by bringing hope to much needed organizations,” says Deb Collins, Office Manager and Broker at Patrick Parker Realty’s Ocean Township Office.  “Patrick Parker Realty’s tradition of generosity each holiday season is a prime example of the great sense of community we have here, one that Patrick seeks to uphold.”

Another unique aspect of the Patrick Parker Realty Food Drive is a real focus on “giving the good stuff,” which encourages families to donate the kinds of foods that have the most impact at the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties — such as peanut butter, canned tuna fish, and canned vegetables — rather than less nutritious snack items or even simply those foods from the back of the cabinet that rarely get eaten.

Supporters can view a list of the FoodBank’s most needed items on the Patrick Parker Realty website.

“The Patrick Parker Realty food drive is a great example of what’s happening nationwide,” adds Parker. “More so now than ever, our community is stepping up to help their neighbors, realizing that hunger is a reality in every town, not only in our most challenged communities. The entire Patrick Parker Realty team is proud of this effort.”

Patrick Parker Realty’s Bradley Beach and Ocean Township locations are accepting donations 7 days a week between 10am and 3pm or by appointment.  The food drive will run now through December Monday, December 19.  For more information about the Patrick Parker Realty Food Drive to benefit the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties please visit the Patrick Parker Realty website or contact Chuck Cutaia, Office Administrator at 732-455-5252 or chuck@patrickparkerrealty.com.
