Cheers & Jeers

TV Guide Magazine

Cheers to Good Behavior
for its bad girl. We always knew Lady Mary had a wild side, and now Downton Abbey‘s Michelle Dockery is letting it rip as an amoral addict caught up with a contract killer (Juan Diego Botto) in this sexy, sinister new thriller.

Jeers to ABC
for eying up an Inhumans series. No offense to the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but Jessica Jones, Daredevil and Luke Cage are all the proof we need that Netflix is the place to go for truly ballsy, binge-worthy Marvel shows.

Jeers to The Mindy Project
for messing up a milestone. The Hulu series’ 100th episode went from whoo-hoo! to WTF?! as soon as adorable Nurse Ben (Bryan Greenberg) caught Mindy (Mindy Kaling) kissing her ex (B.J. Novak) and dissing his career. This is why you’re still single, girl.

Cheers to Saturday Night Live
for winning our vote again. After a dreadful pre-election show, the sketch series redeemed itself with Kate McKinnon’s “Hillary singing ‘Hallelujah'” cold open, host Dave Chappelle’s poignant monologue and some of the sharpest skits of the season. Hallelujah, indeed.
