MANALAPAN – Patrolman Adam Sosnowski and his partner, K-9 Grim, were called into action on the afternoon of Nov. 21 and located a missing woman who was reported to be dealing with medical issues.
Police said that at 4 p.m., Sosnowski and Grim responded to a residence on Meadow Green Circle in the Covered Bridge adult community to investigate a report of a missing person who was said to be suicidal.
The person who called police told the officer her daughter made several suicidal statements. When the mother contacted behavioral health professionals, her daughter fled on foot from the residence.
Sosnowski and Grim tracked the missing woman about 0.4 miles and found her nearby in Marlboro. The woman was transported voluntarily to CentraState Medical Canter, Freehold Township, for an evaluation, according to police.
In other incidents reported by police:
• On Nov. 26 at 1:25 a.m., Patrolman Jared Coupland conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 33. The driver, identified as Margaret Manfredini, 24, of Millstone Township, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Manfredini was processed and released to a responsible adult.
• On Nov. 24 at 12:37 a.m., Patrolman Dennis O’Brien conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 north near the Marlboro border. The driver, Gregory Jaroslawski, 53, of Marlboro, was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit breath samples.
• On Nov. 22 at 4:30 p.m., a Manalapan resident reported fraudulent activity on his T-Mobile account. According to police, an unknown individual used a passport with the resident’s name on it to purchase two Beats Solo3 Headphones valued at $599 at a Union City T-Mobile store on the Manalapan resident’s account without his permission.
• On Dec. 2 at 2:15 p.m., a 12-year-old Manalapan resident was crossing Church Lane and was struck by a vehicle which then left the scene. Police said that after further investigation and witness accounts of the incident, the driver was identified as Stanley Perlman, 76, of Monroe Township. Perlman was issued summonses for leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident. The child sustained what police described as minor injuries and was treated at the scene by responders from the Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid Squad. Patrolman Jennie Rae Hensley handled the incident.
• On Nov. 30, Patrolman Kyle Earley responded to Walgreens, Route 33, to follow up on an incident of shoplifting that occurred on Nov. 21. The officer was told that a man removed cologne valued at $607.89 from a display and walked out of the store without paying for the merchandise. The individual was described as a black male in his 50’s, bald, wearing glasses and a long brown trench coat. The was last seen entering a silver Nissan Sentra.
