Breakfast buffet to raise funds for Sea Scout youth group

The Navesink Maritime Heritage Association will hold a breakfast buffet fundraiser from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Dec. 11 at the Monmouth Boat Club, 31 Union St., Red Bank, to benefit Sea Scout Ship No. 5 Navesink.

Open to all co-ed youth age 14-21, Sea Scout Ship No. 5 is a branch of the Boy Scouts of America that focuses on maritime activities, from sailing skills to working on board large, engine-powered vessels on the open sea, under the command of an experienced captain.

The cost is $10 per adult and $7 for children under 12 and seniors over 55. Meet the skipper and crew. Free breakfast will be offered for new recruits. Free parking is available on Sundays.
