The CW’s series premiere of Riverdale will air on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 9 p.m. As a new school year begins, the town of Riverdale is reeling from the recent, tragic death of high school golden boy Jason Blossom and nothing feels the same. Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) is still the all-American teen, but the summer’s events made him realize that he wants to pursue a career in music. Meanwhile, girl-next-door Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) is anxious to see her crush Archie after being away. When a new student, Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes), arrives in town from New York, there’s an undeniable spark between Veronica and Archie. The character names should sound familiar if you grew up reading the Archie comic books.
HBO will premiere its candid documentary Becoming Warren Buffett, which chronicles the life of the billionaire investor, on Monday, Jan. 30 at 10 p.m. With a net worth of more than $60 billion, Warren Buffett is truly a one-of-a-kind billionaire. Discovery Channel will challenge survivalists to conquer six deadly terrains in its new adventure series The Wheel, premiering Friday, Jan. 13 at 10 p.m. Each survivalist is dropped into an isolated location in South America, exposed to the world’s deadliest terrains including freezing tundra, rugged mountains and treacherous rainforest. Equipped only with light survival packs and SOS devices, they must fend for their lives by procuring food, water and shelter.
