The Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County will serve as the host to Paul Burdett, Ph.D., who will present “Introduction to the Renaissance: Parts 1 and 2” from 1:30-3 p.m.  on Jan. 17 and 24 at 1775 Oak Tree Rd., Edison.

The Renaissance was by far the most creative period in human history. It touched every facet of life in the wake of the Great Plague — commerce, banking, diplomacy, government organization (the republic), philosophy, theology and its visual expression in the arts and architecture.
