Film examines the life and career of Groucho Marx

The Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County, 1775 Oak Tree Rd., Edison, announces Lincoln Richman will present “Here He Is…The One…The Only… Groucho” at 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 31.

Known as a master of quick wit and widely considered to be one of the best comedians of the modern era, Groucho Marx’s rapid fire, often impromptu delivery of innuendo laden patter earned him many admirers and imitators.

This 60-minute documentary, originally made for PBS, examines the life and career of Groucho Marx, including his marriages, his Judaism, his relationships with his brothers and children, his triumphs and his tragedies. Interviews include Jack Lemmon, Dick Cavett, George Fenneman, Marvin Hamlish, Art Linkletter, Gloria Stuart, and Groucho Marx himself. This film is an adult look at Groucho Marx.

The cost is free and open to the community as space allows. Please register in advance.
