Volunteers to assist with income tax return preparation

Free preparation of federal and state income tax returns will be provided on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Feb. 7-April 6, at the South Brunswick Library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction.

All ages and income levels are welcome to attend, although special attention will be given to low- to moderate-income seniors.

Volunteers from the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program are trained and certified in cooperation with the IRS and the New Jersey Department of Taxation.

Appointments are required. To make an appointment you must go online to www.southbrunswicknj.gov and click on Taxes. On appointment day, bring photo ID, last year’s tax return, Social Security cards or statements, health insurance information and all year-end tax documents (W-2 and 1099 income, property tax statements, itemized medical, charitable and other deductions, etc.).
