MONTGOMERY: Three sworn in on school board

Three Montgomery Township residents were sworn into office at the Montgomery Township Board of Education’s annual reorganization meeting Tuesday., Dharmesh Doshi, Phyllis Bursh and Shreesh Tiwari took the oath of office – and their seats – on the school board., Mr. Doshi was re-elected to another three-year term, and Mr. Tiwari was elected to his first full term on the school board. He served on the school board in 2015, filling out an unexpired term that ended on Dec. 31, 2015. Ms. Bursh is a newcomer to the school board., In other business, Richard Cavalli was elected to be the school board president, and Amy Miller was chose to be the vice president., School board members also reviewed the New Jersey School Board Association’s code of ethics for school board members., The newly-reconstituted school board adopted several housekeeping resolutions, including setting the dates for school board meetings. The meetings have been set for the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month, but only one meeting will be held in July, August and December., All meetings start at 7:30 p.m. in the Media Center at the Upper Middle School.
