The East Windsor Township Police Department initiated the following police reports through Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017., Anthony V. Tomaselli, 18, of East Windsor, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped at 1:53 a.m. Dec. 31, 2016, on Twin Rivers Drive., While on patrol, an officer observed a vehicle being operated erratically. The vehicle was stopped and while speaking with the driver the officer smelled the odor of marijuana from within the vehicle. Further investigation revealed a passenger was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The passenger, Mr. Tomaselli, was arrested and later released pending court action., An officer responded to a report of a distraction burglary at 4 p.m. Jan. 2 on Etra Road. The investigation revealed a Latino male posed as a roofer to lure the homeowner outside. While speaking with the homeowner in the backyard a second Latino male entered the house and stole jewelry valued at approximately $15,650.00., An officer responded to the parking lot of Dutch Neck Commons on a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. The vehicle owner reported that between 11 a.m. and 8:20 p.m. on Jan. 4, an unknown person broke the passenger side window of the vehicle and stole $200 cash., The Hightstown Police Department initiated the following police reports from Jan. 3 through Jan. 8 2017., Alexander M. Adams, 26, of Mount Holly, was in the custody of the Burlington County Jail Jan. 3 on an active warrant out of Hightstown Municipal Court. Mr. Adams was released to the custody of the Hightstown Police Department and later committed to the Mercer County Adult Correctional Facility, in lieu of bail., Denis Solarez, 38, of Cranbury, was arrested Jan. 4 for having an active warrant out of Trenton Municipal Court, during the course of a motor vehicle stop on Mercer Street. Mr. Solarez was transported to police headquarters, booked, processed, and released on his own recognizance with a pending court date., Darrell S. Ghee, 21, of Asbury Park, was arrested Jan. 7 for having an active warrant out of Asbury Park Municipal Court, during the course of a motor vehicle stop on Franklin Street. Mr. Ghee was transported to police headquarters, booked, processed, and released after posting bail., Carl W. Johnson, Jr., of Long Branch, was arrested Jan. 8 by the New Jersey State Police for an active warrant out of Hightstown Municipal Court, during a traffic stop on the Garden State Parkway. Mr. Johnson, Jr. was released to the custody of the Hightstown Police Department and later committed to the Mercer County Adult Correctional Facility, in lieu of bail.
