Ben A Burdette, 95, passed away at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro, on Tuesday, Jauary 10, with his family by his side. He was born in Esbon, Kansas and resided in the Pennington area since 1973.
He graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in engineering. He was employed by Mobil Oil for 37 years. At the time of his retirement, in 1982, he was Senior Project Manager.
He was a former member of the Hopewell Valley Golf Club for many years and a member of the Pennington Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Lois Burdette and his children: James and spouse, Sue, Jeffrey and spouse, Hannelore, all of Wichita, KS, Cheryl Chester and her partner, Joe Hunchak of East Hanover, NJ, and Lori Drake and spouse, Chris of Titusville, NJ and special friend, Ed Chester, of SC.
He was a loving grandfather to eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
