Robert “Bob” A. Rudders Jr., 67, of Glendale, passed away on Jan. 3, 2017. Bob was born and raised in New Jersey. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. His early career as a respiratory therapist later led to his return to college to earn his degree as a registered nurse, specializing in cardiac catheterization and special procedures.
He and his family moved to Arizona in 1998. Mr. Rudders is survived by his wife of 48 years, Leslie Servis Rudders; two sons, Robert III and his wife Joyce Rudders and Daniel Rudders; a daughter, Lauren and son-in-law Michael Watson; a sister, Jeanne Triano; a sister-in-law, Diane Conover; in-laws Christopher and Frances Servis and Scott Servis; seven grandchildren, Chase and Max Rudders, Robert Rudders IV, Teagan and Camryn Rudders and Danica and Jolie Watson.
A brief graveside memorial was held Jan. 18 with military honors at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona by Cave Creek and Pinnacle Peak roads.
