The 8th Grade students of Herbert Hoover Middle School sent our rescue squad a beautiful basket filled with LifeSaver treats and decorated with a beautiful picture saying “LifeSavers for our Life-savers!”

This special “thank you” touched our members with a heartfelt and treasured reminder that the work and service we proudly provide our community is greatly appreciated. Their thoughtfulness was very touching and made the day of our members. Thank you!

The attached picture was accompanied with the following note:

Dear Local Heroes:

The 8th Grade Class at Herbert Hoover Middle School wanted to send a symbol of our thanks for all that you do to protect and serve our community.

We collected LifeSavers to show our appreciation for your efforts to save lives everyday. The artwork was lovingly designed and drawn by one of our talented 8th graders, Brandon Martin, in honor of each of the three departments: the Police Department, Fire Department and Rescue Squad, and the baskets were assembled by our Student Council members.

Thank you for all that you do!
