Inez Marie Mackenzie (née Unger) passed away on December 26, 2016 at Brandywine Assisted Living at age 91.
Mrs. Mackenzie was a longtime resident of the Pennington area, moving here 24 years ago to be near her daughter, Sarajane. Inez was born in New York City on February 3, 1925 to Ellen and Carl Unger. She was raised in NY, studied fine arts, and worked as a secretary in Manhattan during WWII.
In 1949 she met her husband, Fred Mackenzie.In 1962 they moved overseas for fourteen years. Afterliving in Libya, France, and England, they returned to NY, where she lived until moving to the greater Hopewell area.
Mrs. Mackenzie is survived by her daughters, Maryellen, Sarajane, and Elizabeth, their father Fred Mackenzie, fivegrandchildren and one great granddaughter.
