MILLSTONE – A teenager has been issued a summons by the New Jersey State Police following her involvement in a motor vehicle crash that occurred in Millstone Township in December.

On Dec. 27, a 17-year-old female from Wellington, Fla., was traveling east on Pine Hill Road when she lost control of her vehicle and it hit several stone posts, according to New Jersey State Police Trooper Lawrence Peele.

The teenager was transported by helicopter to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, for treatment.

On Jan. 20, New Jersey State Police Trooper Alejandro Goez said the teenager was issued a traffic summons for careless driving. No criminal charges were filed against her.

And, a state police investigation is continuing into the circumstances surrounding a two-vehicle collision that occurred in the township on Jan. 10.

On that date, a vehicle being driven westbound on Perrineville Road by Michael Parr, 75, of Manalapan, and a vehicle being driven eastbound by Sandra Michaliszyn, 54, of Metuchen, were involved in a head-on collision, according to Goez.

The trooper said Parr’s vehicle overturned, while Michaliszyn’s vehicle went off the road. The collision occurred in front of the Millstone Township First Aid Squad building. The drivers were treated by representatives of the first aid squad.

According to Goez, Parr was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in serious condition and Michaliszyn was transported by ground to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, in moderate condition.

When contacted on Jan. 12, Jersey Shore University Medical Center personnel said Michaliszyn was not a patient at the hospital.

According to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital personnel, Parr was still a patient as of Jan. 20.

As of Jan. 20, no charges had been filed in regard to the collision and an investigation is ongoing, according to Goez.
