Freehold Township police seek witnesses to accident

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP – The Freehold Township Police Department is looking for witnesses to a three-vehicle crash that left a child seriously injured.

According to police, the crash occurred at about 3:08 p.m. Jan. 22 at the intersection of Route 9 and Route 33. The crash remains under investigation by police.

A press release from police said a child was injured in the crash. No other individuals involved in the incident were mentioned in the press release.

According to Police Officer Richard Gregg, the investigating officer, three vehicles were involved in the crash.

Because the incident remains under investigation, Gregg said the names, ages, gender and residences of the occupants of the vehicles could not be released.
