EAST BRUNSWICK – ANNA MAE FISCHOTTER MAHER, died on Jan. 23, at home. She was 85.
Born in Newark, she resided in Irvington and Orange, before moving to East Brunswick 58 years ago.
Ann was a Communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge.
She worked at Cook College, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, in the Office of Resident Instruction, and was a member of Rutgers Silver Knights Club.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Maher, in 1996; her son-in-law, Michael Kanaval, in 1999, and her grandson, Aidan Maher, in 2006.
Surviving are her four daughters, Linda Wistuba and her husband, Edmund, of East Brunswick, JoAnne Kanaval-Gibney and her husband, Brian, of Manalapan, Eileen Truscott and her husband, Russell, of Bethlehem, Pa., and Nancy Talbot and her husband, Mark, of Freehold; her son Kevin Maher and his wife, Darcy, of East Brunswick; 12 grandchildren, Cristin (Edward) Mahoney, Jennifer Wistuba, Caitlyn (Jeffrey) Basiaga, Michelle (Kevin) Middaugh, Joseph (Stephanie) Kanaval, Jessica (Kevin) McKeever, Andrew, Megan and Matthew Truscott, Victoria and Allyson Talbot, and Bryce Maher, and nine great-grandchildren, McKenna, Edward Joseph “EJ” and Raegan Mahoney, Graydon, Mackenzie and Kyle Middaugh, John “Jack” and Nora Kanaval and Patrick McKeever.
Funeral services were arranged by The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
