On Jan. 10, Michael Parr, 75, of Manalapan, was driving westbound on Perrineville Road in Millstone Township when he was involved in a head-on collision with Sandra Michaliszyn, 54, of Metuchen, who was driving eastbound, according to New Jersey State Police Trooper Alejandro Goez.

Goez said Parr’s vehicle overturned and Michaliszyn’s vehicle went off the road. The collision occurred in front of the Millstone Township First Aid Squad building. The drivers were treated by representatives of the first aid squad.

According to Goez, Parr was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, in serious condition. As of Jan. 20, 10 days after the crash, Parr was still a patient at the hospital. On Jan. 25, personnel at the hospital said Parr was no longer a patient.

Michaliszyn was transported by ground to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, in moderate condition following the collision. On Jan. 12, two days after the collision, hospital personnel said Michaliszyn was no longer a patient.

On Jan. 25, Goez said Parr was issued summonses for careless driving, improper passing and failure to wear a seatbelt. No summons were issued to Michaliszyn, according to Goez.
