Milltown school raises funds for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

MILLTOWN – Students from Joyce Kilmer School held a three-week fundraising effort to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer.

Lisa Beniaminson, a sixth grade language arts teacher and lead Student Council advisor, organized the effort from Jan. 6-27 in support of Pennies for Patients and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The fundraising goal of $800 had already been exceeded as of press time.
